The WHAS weather team recently experienced a shakeup when longtime meteorologist Keith Kindrick stepped down. After over twenty years with the station, Kindrick decided to pursue a new venture in mid-January 2020.
Known for his cheerful nature and expertise in forecasting, Kindrick was immensely popular in the community as a trusted source for weather updates. He was an integral part of the WHAS team and his departure was difficult for many viewers who had come to rely on his accurate forecasts.
Since his departure, the station has hired a replacement meteorologist and the weather team is continuing to provide the Louisville area with current and reliable weather information.

The meteorologist on WHAS are Matt Milkovich, John Belski, and Chris Johnson. Matt Milkovich has been a meteorologist with WHAS since 2016 and provides forecasts on the morning and noon newscasts. John Belski has been a meteorologist with WHAS since 2019 and provides forecasts mostly on the 5 and 6 pm newscasts.
Chris Johnson joined WHAS in 2019 and provides forecasts on the 6 and 11 pm newscasts. All three of the meteorologists provide their viewers with the latest weather information, weather-related updates and forecasts, and breaking weather alerts.

Doug Proffitt is an award-winning journalist who currently works as an anchor/reporter for WKBW-TV in Buffalo, New York. He is a native of Michigan and graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Broadcasting and Cinematic Arts.
Before coming to WKBW-TV, Doug worked for nine years at WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he served as the weekend evening anchor. He also won two Emmy awards while at WPXI-TV. Outside of work, Doug enjoys spending time with his family and friends.

The new weatherman on WHAS11 is Matt Milosevich. He started his new role as the station’s chief meteorologist in May 2020. Before joining WHAS11, Matt had a long career as a meteorologist. He was a weekend meteorologist at WRTV in Indianapolis from 2015-2020.
He also served as weekend meteorologist at 12News in Phoenix from 2011-2015. Matt is originally from Syracuse and began his career as the Chief Meteorologist for WSYR in the city. He holds both a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal and a National Weather Association Seal of Approval, and is a member of the American Meteorological Society.
He has been awarded an Emmy and is a 5-time AP Award winner.

Where did Matt Serwe go?
Matt Serwe is an American meteorologist who is currently working as the Chief Meteorologist for KETV (ABC 7) in Omaha, Nebraska. He originally started at KETV in June of 2010, initially working as the weekday morning meteorologist.
In 2018, he was promoted to Chief Meteorologist and now serves in that capacity.
Matt previously worked in the two Cedar Rapids, Iowa television markets at KGAN and KFXA as a meteorologist. Prior to that, he held staff meteorologist positions in Savannah, Georgia at WTOC-TV and in where he lived for five years.
In addition to his work in broadcast meteorology, Matt is also the founder, meteorologist, and lead trainer for the “Storm Shield” weather radio alert system. He is also the weekly co-host of the award-winning “Tracker Outdoor Show” on Nebraska radio stations, where he talks about weather and hunting.
Outside of work, Matt is very active in the community and also spends time with his family and playing golf. He often speaks in classrooms, hosts hurricane preparedness seminars, is involved in charity events, and continues to support and give back to the community.

Kristin Goodwillie is going on an amazing adventure to East Africa. She set off on Friday morning and plans to spend three weeks travelling around Ethiopia, Kenya, and Tanzania. This is her first time in this part of the world and she is looking forward to taking in the sights and sounds of these exotic locations.
She’ll be staying in a variety of lodges, hostels, and hotels as she travels around, while also exploring the national parks and reserves, enjoying the beach and cultural activities, and experiencing local cuisine.
During her trip, she will participate in a volunteer project and is eager to give back to the communities she visits and make a difference in the lives of those around her. Kristin is sure to have an incredible and memorable time in East Africa.
Who are the news anchors on WLKY?
The news anchors on WLKY are currently Linda Mays and Vicki Dortch. Linda Mays has been the co-anchor of the station’s weekday morning newscast since February 2007. Prior to joining WLKY, she spent 17 years at WTVR in Richmond, Virginia, where she anchored the morning, noon and evening newscasts.
Vicki Dortch anchors the 5PM and 11PM newscast on WLKY. She’s been a part of WLKY since 2008. Prior to that, she worked as an anchor and reporter for WTVF in Nashville and WAAY-TV in Huntsville, Alabama.
What happened to Kaitlynn Fish on Channel 11 News?
Kaitlynn Fish, a reporter for Channel 11 News, was arrested on Monday, January 13th and charged with felony theft and fraudulent practices. According to local media reports, Fish was accused of writing fake checks to herself from a local bank.
The theft occurred between April and October 2019.
Police reportedly found evidence of fraudulent activity after a full investigation and Fish was arrested at her home. When Channel 11 News was made aware of the allegations, Fish was immediately suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.
Fish was taken to the Dubuque County Jail and was later released on bond. If Fish is convicted, she could face up to 10 years in prison, and a fine of up to $10,000. The court proceedings are still ongoing.

Ben Pine is a meteorologist at WHAS11 in Louisville, Kentucky, where he has been reporting on the weather in the area since 2019. Born and raised in the Midwest, Ben has always had a fascination with the weather, no doubt inspired by the sometimes volatile conditions that can occur in the region.

Who left WDRB?
In late-July 2019, WDRB announced the departure of General Manager Bill Lamb and News Director Barry Fulmer. A fixture in the Louisville broadcasting and media industry, Bill Lamb had served at WDRB for 38 years, helping to lead the company to be the market-leading news source it is today.
Barry Fulmer had served as News Director since 2011 and had been a part of the WDRB team for nearly 30 years. While the station did not go into detail as to why they were leaving, the news internally surprised many.
WDRB has yet to officially announce replacements for Bill Lamb and Barry Fulmer, although a search for their successors is currently underway.
When did Lindsay Allen return to WDRB?
Lindsay Allen returned to WDRB as anchor in October of 2020. Prior to her return, she had been away from the station since 2017. She was an anchor at WDRB from 2010-2017 and was previously the morning news anchor at WKTV in Utica, New York for 3 years.
She is back on the air and anchoring WDRB’s news at 5, 6 and 11PM. Her return to Louisville was welcomed by viewers who are excited to have Lindsay back on the news.
